The Baptist Health West Kendall Hospital East Pavillion Expansion project consists of a new 4 story, 135,500 sq. ft. building. The addition features an emergency department with 35 additional treatment rooms that is double the size of the original to better fit the growing needs of the community. The third and fourth floors of the building are completely dedicated to supporting inpatient services, with 70 new private rooms. The project also features an expanded ambulatory drop-off area, a cardiac catherization lab, progressive care services, an interventional radiology suite and more.
The design of the new tower mirrors the Mediterranean style aesthetic of the existing hospital and incorporates the same eco-friendly features of the rest of the hospital.
