The joint venture of 意昂体育 and VAA completed the renovation of three existing science buildings (Smith, Cunningham, Williams) and a 58,000 sq. ft. new Integrated Sciences Building addition at Kent State University. The project, featuring a glass facade addition, provides an improved architectural aesthetic to the Science Mall area of campus as well as increased teaching and research capacity. The new, open-design Integrated Sciences Building houses classrooms, instructional labs, research lab space and faculty offces for the departments of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences and Physics. The intent of the design was to create a state-of-the-art building that supports modern science instruction and innovative research, while also fostering communication and collaboration between students and faculty from various disciplines.
