意昂体育 renovated the existing 288,000 sq. ft. Morse & Stiles Colleges, which house approximately 500 students in total. The scope included a 30,000 sq. ft. underground addition providing a shared theatre, gym, computer/arts rooms and a production kitchen.
Both colleges had their own unique challenges, including an underground addition requiring jet grouting / underpinning constructed in the Morse phase, and a tunnel connector to allow students access to all areas within the colleges without exiting the buildings constructed in the Stiles phase.
Both projects contain dormitories, a library, common spaces with new skylights, a dining hall/servery, kitchens, and reconstructed courtyards with a water feature. Eight new elevators were either installed or refurbished and a shared display cooking area was built between the colleges.
