Complex biomedical laboratory construction project

Preconstruction and Construction Management services for the University Health Network’s (UHN) Centre for Cell and Vector Production facility – a joint venture between UHN and the Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine (CCRM). This complex biomedical laboratory construction project was executed within the fully operational Medical and Related Sciences (MaRS) Phase II tower in downtown Toronto. The 14,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility primarily caters to Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical trials housing six (6) separate platforms 58; vector production, ISO 7 classification cell therapy clean rooms, ISO 8 classification cell therapy isolators, a development lab, a combination of wet and dry labs, a quality control (QC) / quality assurance (QA) core lab and associated support spaces (offices, corridors, storage areas and waste handing).
