This project was a 32,000 sq. ft. renovation of Towson University’s main dining facility. The renovated full kitchen includes new epoxy flooring, LED lighting, hot water injection cleaning of the grease ducts, new kitchen equipment with exhaust hoods tied into the building automation system, walk-in freezers, and a state of the art dishwashing room.
Servery lines were replaced and custom kitchen casework was installed to support the new kitchen equipment.
The main lobby entrance was expanded with a staircase replacement and a new mezzanine addition was completed to serve as an expanded café.
Other improvements included the replacement of all existing mechanical and electrical systems, including replacing the 4 older AHU’S with a high capacity HVAC system that included new air handlers. A full electrical system upgrade was completed, including main switchgear replacements, a new generator, and air chiller. Architectural upgrades included flooring, painting, lighting, bathroom updates, door frames and hardware.
