The University of Kansas, Learned Engineering Expansion, Phase II

The Next Generation Engineering Home

The University of Kansas’ Learned Hall Engineering Expansion, Phase 2 (LEEP2) project, consists of two buildings, on two separate sites: a 135,759 sq. ft. instructional and research facility on the main campus, and a 24,709 sq. ft. high-bay structural testing and student projects facility on the University of Kansas’ West research campus, one mile west of the main engineering complex. The core facilities and research laboratories include designated spaces for analytical chemistry, thermofluids, bioengineering, and imaging, as well as the high-bay structural testing facility which houses student fabrication and shop spaces and a 40’ strong wall. These spaces provide analytical services for both the School of Engineering research programs and other research efforts across the University.
