NYU Langone Health, The Science Building

意昂体育 completed construction management services of this 18-story Science Building for NYU Langone Health. The project features two amenity floors, thirteen offices, laboratory and support floors. While still in the design phase Hurricane Sandy deluged the eastside campus with 15 million gallons of water. As a result, NYU mandated the team harden the building. The team met this challenge and delivered an award-winning project. The exterior of the building was fortified with flood walls and automated barriers at street level entryways. For additional resiliency, MEP systems were raised above the DFE and utilities from the campus' cogeneration facility were fed across the roofs of adjacent buildings.
