This state-of-the-art facility represents the highest quality patient care, and is creating new economic drive statewide in Oklahoma City’s central hub of innovation, research, education and employment.

"I couldn't be more happy to see the effort of the entire team as we are creating a new icon along the Oklahoma City skyline," said Òâ°ºÌåÓý Vice President and General Manager, Jerry Crawford. "This project means so much to the citizen's of Oklahoma and is the largest hospital expansion project in Oklahoma history."

University of Oklahoma Medicine leaders, state and local dignitaries, employees and other guests attended the event. Jerome Loughridge, Oklahoma’s Secretary of Health and Mental Health, as well as other speakers, talked about the impact the new patient tower will make on Oklahoma’s healthcare and economic scene.

"I am humbled and excited by the lasting impact that our work here will have on this community." McDonnell continued, "The care in which the University of Oklahoma Medical Center, their designers, and the Òâ°ºÌåÓý Team bring in making this building a reality, makes it easy to come to work every day."

Scheduled for completion in 2020, the patient tower will span 450,000 square feet across nine floors—eight of those above ground— with room to grow.
